Inauguration of a public artwork designed for the lycée Sud-Loire (Clisson, France)

In collaboration with Olivier Boucheron / nelobo architecture studio

This project consists in four small size architectures located all over the complex (three on the outside and one on the inside). Their names (the Garden, the Tête-à-tête, the Speaker's Mound and the Belvedere-Grotto) and shapes suggest various functions yet they don't dictate a use but let everyone imagine it in accordance with his own desire.

Ghost Tokyo - Nantes Art School's gallery

Openning on March 12th from 6:30 p.m.

In 2012, Benoit Broisat participated in a research program at Nantes Art School. This program called The Global City and its Geofictions is directed by Philippe Oudard. The works Broisat developped as part of this program focus on the imaginary dimension of megalopolis, and particularly of Tokyo, the biggest one of them. A video was shot in Tokyo in May then patiently augmented with traces of this ghost city. This video, along with a new series of images on the same subject and various elements from older projects will be shown during the exhibition.

Digital Choc- Institut français du Japon (Tokyo)

In 2012, the Franco-Japanese Institute, based in Tokyo, organised the first edition of an event dedicated to showing the French creativity in the fields of digital cultures and new images. Due to the success of this even, the French institute organises its second edition, untitled Digital Choc.

Within the context of this event, the video Ghost Tokyo by Benoit Broisat will be shown at Institut français du Japon (Tokyo) from February 16th from March 3rd and at Institut français du Japon - Kansai (Kyoto) from February 16th to March 3rd.

The video Ghost Tokyo was realised thanks to the support of esbanm (école supérieure des beaux-arts de Nantes Métropole).

Nuit Blanche - Villa Kujoyama (Kyoto)

The event starts at 6:00 p.m. with the opening ceremony held at Kyoto International Manga Museum / Screenings at Villa Kujoyama are from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Nuit Blanche is an annual art festival held in October every year in Paris. This event provides people the opportunities to enjoy modern arts at night. Nuit Blanche earned a good reputation in the world and has been held in several cities such as Brussels, Montreal and Singapore.
In succession of last year, the City of Kyoto, which is a sister city of Paris, will celebrate this event for the second time. To present a more powerful show, the arena of the festival and the number of participating artist have been greatly expanded. Enjoy the colorful night of Kyoto adorned with performances and concerts by French and Japanese artists.

Les Témoins - Ecole supérieure des Beaux-arts de Nîmes

8 diptycs from the Témoins series as well as the video Le parasol de Phnom Penh (the sun umbrella from Phnom Penh) were recently acquired by the Frac Languedoc-Roussillon (French public collection). They will be shown at the Ecole supérieure des beaux-arts de Nîmes. This exhibition is the second part of an exhibition called "Question d'images (visages de sable)" held at Carré d'art in Nîmes.
